七年级的学生正处于青春期发育期,他们有较高的求知欲和表现欲,希望自己的表现能得到同学和老师的认可。且该阶段学生已具备初步的语言表达能力和较强的记忆力与模拟能力。对他们所熟悉的话题学生的爱好会更浓,而本单元的话题正符合这一特点,所以我就设计任务型的课堂活动,让学生人人参与,增强他们学习的积极性和学习的自信心。
第三板块:说教法
新教材重视以人为本,强调素质教育。在教学中,要注意发挥学生的主体作用,把空间留给学生。抓住初中生活泼好动,表现欲强的心理特点,课堂上我设计了大量听、说、读、 的训练,启发学生动脑思考,鼓励学生大胆开口,畅所欲言,尽可能运用英语表达实际意义,从而最大限度地调动学生的积极性和主动性。教学中,我主要采用任务型教学法,情景结合教学法,分层法和通过学习五步教学法,精讲巧练,由浅入深,由易到难,由已知到未知,循序渐近地深化教学内容。展开以教师为主导,以学生为主体的师生双边活动。
第四板块:学法指导
1. 引导学生用小组合作学生的方式来完成任务型教学所设计的各项活动。全班分为6个小组,每组8人,各组英语水平相当,并引入竞争机制。培养学生的实际能力,发展学生的合作能力。 2. 采取的教学手段是情景教学,任务型教学法。
第五板块:教学过程
Step 1.Leading-in 创设情景,导入新课
以自己为例,描述自己及家人的上班方式。然后问学生问题,How do you get to school?
Step 2.warming up
利用 A chant激发学生的兴趣并导入到交通工具。
Step 3.Presentation 新课讲解,呈现教学内容
电脑呈现交通工具的画片,让学生分别说出它们的英文名字,并且作出相应的短语eg: take the train , ride a bike, take a boat, take the bus等等,。
Step 4.Practicing反复操练,巩固运用
在在图片旁边写上短语,表示到某地的方式。让学生造句,然后根据图片做相应的小对话eg: How do you get to school?I….
Step 5.Listening and doing口语操练,加深印象
学生通过前面的学习,已经对新的知识形成了初步的新知识结构,但在口语使用上还存在着模糊点,这时通过一系列的综合练习可以巩固、发展及完善学生的知识结构。

板书反映出一节课内容的知识体系,精心设计的板书,它既有利于教师帮助学生的思路,又有利于学生掌握教学的重难点,从而提高课堂教学的效果。也有助于把学生思维中已有的知识作重调整,让散乱的知识边的条理清楚,同时也让学生学会把所学的知识进行归纳、概括。不仅可以促使学生积极思考,而且对于提高学生的分析、比较、判断的能力,有积极的作用,还使学生获得的知识不容易遗忘。

一、农村初中起始年级教材整合的必要性
由于目前农村小学英语师资匮乏等原因,很多学校无法正常开足英语课时,导致多数小学毕业生的英语水平没能达到《英语课程标准》规定的水平,初中新生的英语基础差而且参差不齐,小学英语和初中英语教学相脱节,这给农村初中英语教学带来了很大难度,主要表现在以下几点:教材起点高、容量大,语言知识点多,词汇量大,学生学习有困难。对教师而言,教材难以驾驭,因为教学内容量大,要求高,每单元的环节多,在开展教学活动时,常感到任务量太大,时间不够,总是不能很好地完成教学目标。那么,如何解决这些问题呢?这就迫切需要教师对教材进行科学合理的整合,使教学内容更符合学生的实际,从而提高英语教学质量。
二、农村初中起始年级英语教材整合策略
1.适当补充,为学生搭建认知平台。在新生入学之初,适当地补充小学内容,衔接小学课程是非常必要的。首先对初中起始年级和小学教材进行整合:(1)补充音标知识,过好语音关。在七年级学习26个字母的同时,一定要不遗余力地让学生学好音标,培养学生的拼读能力,使学生掌握读音规则, 为学生记忆和积累词汇奠定基础。(2)巩固小学必备的词汇,有计划地复习小学的词汇。把新教材小学三年级到六年级所有词汇列出来配合音标教学。同时教他们便于记忆、巩固单词的方法,过好单词关。(3)整合小学的交际话题,温故知新。由复习小学的话题,导入新授知识,循序渐进,完成教学目标。
2. 删减内容,减轻学生负担。在不影响教学目标的前提下,根据学生的实际,删减教材中一些过于城市化、知识结构体系复杂、难度较大的内容,以便集中精力处理最重要的教学内容,实施最有效的教学活动,落实最重要的语言知识和技能。那么,哪些内容可以删掉?(1)学生不熟悉的话题。(2)难度过高或过低的板块。(3)在教学中难以实施的活动。比如,简化Warming up、Prereading等教学环节;舍弃一些与学生生活相距较远、专业性太强的内容或不常见的地理名词等。如七年级上册Module 9 A trip to the zoo 这模块的生词量相当大,总共43个生词,其中很多个动物名称、地理名词的单词很难记,那么我们可以删除一些不常见的动物名称和地理名称,减轻学生负担。
3.调整顺序,循序渐进。初中英语教材中的每个模块包含3个单元,U1以听说为主,兼顾读写;U2以培养学生的阅读能力为主,兼顾听说;U3是语言运用单元,巩固第一、二单元所学的内容。在教学实践中,我们发现单元与单元之间有时缺乏有机的联系,教材的编排有些是与我们的学生实际有距离的,教师要根据学生的实际情况,对各模块内容适当调整顺序或重组,按照循序渐进的原则,开展最有效的教学活动。比如语法课,教材的编排一般把语法练习放在每模块的第三单元,如果本模块的语法比较难掌握,我们可以把第三单元提到前面来学习,即语法前置课。学生对语法有了清晰的概念并会初步运用后,再开始前两单元的学习。从基本语言到语言综合运用,层层递进,依次展开听说读写训练。
4.分散、易化难点,提高教学效果。分散、易化难点,这就要求教师对教材进行挖掘、梳理、浓缩,以便使课堂教学内容化难为易。对于语言点比较多的模块,我们须把语言点分散开,早渗透,重积累。如七年级下册Module 10 Unit 1 同时出现了很多月份和节日的词汇,还有一般过去时疑问句、否定句的操练。对学生来说任务量较大,尤其是学困生。所以要设法分散难点,从开学初就每天在黑板上写一个月份和一个节日的词汇,让学生反复练习,每天记一两个,学生没负担,待讲到Module 10 Unit 1时,我们把月份和节日的词汇加以整理归纳操练,既是新授又是复习。学生扫除了生词障碍,本节课的教学重点就可以放在一般过去时的疑问句、否定句的操练上,课堂教学内容化难为易,化繁为简。
一、复习中注意的几个原则:
1、是抓住课本,有效复习。教材和教学大纲是考前复习和考试命题的依据。
2、是系统归纳,分清脉络。
3、是专项练习,有的放矢。
二、具体计划如下:
1、单词的复习
201x人教版的教材的主要特点是词汇量很大,词汇是学习英语的基础,所以学习英语从掌握词汇入手。在进入正式复习前,我组织了单词听写大赛,激发孩子们认真记单词的积极性。所以,在正式复习开始后,我会坚持每天听写单词,并且把单词归类让学生更容易掌握。
2、语法知识的复习
七年级上册书中强调的语法知识有:一般现在时、名词的复数形式、名词所有格、实义动词、数词(基数词和序数词)、一般疑问句、特殊疑问句等。我计划对语法知识进行全面的总结,并配合大量的练习,大范围的让学生懂得语法并会用语法。这样,或许可以减少学生心里的模糊知识。
3、练习题的设置
这次复习时间只有两个星期,时间紧,内容多,容量大。所以,我打算以单元为基准,精选试题进行强化训练,尤其在学生容易出错的知识点上,多加巩固。

英语教学是一种语言教学,所以,它的教学过程不能违背语言教学的规律和特点,否则就会影响英语教学效果。七年级是初中学习的起始阶段,也是初中乃至高中学习的基础阶段,它的教学效果的好坏直接影响着学生以后的学习及发展,七年级英语教学应侧重于“听说”训练。从英语教材的内容可以看出,初一的英语教学是从英语会话开始的,而且这种形式贯穿于英语教材的每一个章节,同时,根据各个单元不同的中心话题展开不同的对话内容。总体看,七年级英语教学内容注重学生的语音、基本的语言交际和简单的阅读训练。根据七年级英语教材的这一特点,教师应着重把握好以下几个环节:
一、注重教师的口语示范
学生从小学升入初中有一个适应过程,英语学习更是如此,小学时由于学生的心理特点、认知能力以及英语不被重视等因素的限制,英语并没有真正作为一门学科被重视。从笔者所教的七年级三个班学生的反馈情况来看,大部分学生小学阶段并没有真正学习英语,即使英语成绩稍好一点的学生也不能完全区分元音和辅音等最基本的语音知识,更不用说识别英语音标了,其他同学更是对英语提不起兴趣。因此,初中学习英语之初,教师的示范作用很重要。如果教师的示范作用起到了积极的效应,那么学生就会产生好奇,从而引起学生学习英语的兴趣。同时,教师在示范时要善于提炼与总结,尽量多用学过的英语会话与学生交谈,鼓励学生开口讲英语,无论教师与学生之间,还是学生与学生之间,都要养成自觉说英语的习惯。另外,教师应坚持用学生能听懂并且易于接受的英语指令或短句组织课堂教学,使学生耳濡目染,在不知不觉中学到英语知识。在这个教学过程中,教师可在示范英语的基础上充分利用录音机,给学生放原版录音,让学生多听多模仿,听单词的读音、完整的句段和它的抑扬顿挫,从而学到地道的英语。听是说的基础,说是听的提高。学生要在反复听懂和模仿正确的语音语调的基础上说,才能说得正确流利,从而更好地促进听力的提高。因此,教师应在日常教学中重视听说能力的培养。
二、注重英语音标的学习
英语发音是学生学习英语的基础。在教学实践中,一些学生越学成绩越赶不上,之所以会出现这种情况,除掉个人努力等客观因素外,究其根源就是因为不会读英语,英语口语跟不上,何谈进行英语会话,何谈通读短文,更不用说语感了,长此以往何谈提高英语成绩。这个问题的实质是没有掌握英语发音,学生往往依赖教师课堂上所教单词的读音,而不去考虑音标,长此以往,就形成了一种惰性。随着词汇量的增加,学生的学习必然是机械记忆,越来越感到困难,从而学习兴趣减退,影响教学效果。为了解决这个问题,教师在教学中要做到准确地读音,然后有目的、有重点地培养学生掌握音标的读法及应用。例如先给学生展示三个单词name,see,red,然后让学生根据单词name,see,red中的元音[ei]、[i:]、[e]和几个辅音,再组成几十个单词让学生进行拼读练习。坚持这样的教学和实践就能收到很好的效果,从而提高学生朗读英语的兴趣和能力。
三、反复练习目标语,同时注意形式变换
七年级英语教材每一个单元都有一个不同的话题,然后单元学习围绕着中心话题展开,或以对话形式,或以讨论形式或短文形式。第一课时通常以对话形式引出本单元的目标语,因此,第一课时的教学目标就是通过反复对话练习,让学生掌握本单元目标语,同时练习不同人称的形式变换。英语教学中的听说训练在这一课时得到了充分的体现,一堂成功的七年级英语课并不是看学生背会了多少个单词,而是看学生是否掌握了目标语,并进行了充分的练习。如果每个学生在课堂上都将目标语练习了十几遍甚至几十遍以上,那足以证明这堂课的教学产出高效。本校有一位主抓教学工作的校长,她也曾是一位在一线工作了三十多年的英语教师,在笔者教学之初她曾这样说过:“不要以成人的想法去考虑学生的英语学习,在我们看来很简单的知识对学生来说都有一个接受过程,所以不要过于追求难,不要贪多,而要多练习,多强调,多反复,每堂课都要尽量让每个学生练习目标语十几遍……”。类似的教学方法使笔者在接下来的教学工作中如鱼得水,学生都乐此不疲。
四、科学引导学生说英语
由于刚升入初中,学生的基础参差不齐,特别是大多数学生在说英语时有胆怯、害羞等心理表现,所以,教师在引导学生说英语时一定要科学,讲究方式方法。首先要鼓励学生敢于开口说英语。教师要尽可能创造机会让每一个学生在同学面前展示,比如每天的早读让不同的学生来领读,包括课前的领读等,不要只将此任务交给课代表;同时课堂上让学生两人一组、四人一组开展对话或进行讨论。等到学生们有了巩固的基础后,再设计一些展示的活动去提高他们的表达能力,比如每天英语课前让一位同学做“morning report”,内容可以是一个小故事,一个名言警句,也可以叙述自己有趣的经历,或是其他想和同学们分享的内容。通过这些一系列的活动,开阔了学生的视野,提高了学生的会话能力,也巩固了所学知识,对记忆单词也起到了促进作用,使学生们由“要我学”转变成“我要学”,从而真正实现英语的“乐学”目标。其次要“感谢”学生所犯的错误。一些教师一旦听到学生错误的回答马上就按捺不住,不等学生把话说完,就指出学生所犯的错误,这种做法会伤害学生的自尊心并且使学生失去学习英语的兴趣,无益于英语教学的开展。在这个问题的处理方法上,笔者一位同事的做法非常好,在她的课堂上,学生积极参与的热情非常高涨,在同学答对问题时,所有的同学都会报以热烈的掌声去鼓励;而当有的同学答错问题时,掌声往往更热烈,因为大家都在“感谢”这位同学把多数同学会犯的错误勇敢地展示出来,这时教师会询问其他犯同样错误的同学做题的思路,然后从学生的理解角度去解析问题所在,这样学生会更加记忆深刻,同时也掌握了这一类题的解题技巧。在这一过程中,教师要注意对于学生所犯的错误不要动辄批评,而要坚持循循善诱的教学方法,消除学生的思想压力,使学生不怕犯错误,乐于说英语、乐于学英语。
五、注重课前导入和课后总结
一节课刚刚开始的时候,学生还没有完全进入本科目的学习状态,这时有效的课前导入就显得尤为重要。教师不妨从学生们感兴趣的话题说起,在此过程中将以往所学知识有机地融合进来,使学生们主动地参与到话题中来,然后自然地引入到新知识的教学。在听说实践的过程中,要处理好新旧知识之间的联系,初中学生的一个显著特点是遗忘快,前说后忘,必须反复练习才能巩固。同时,教师讲解新知识时,也要注意复习巩固旧知识,用这样的方法进行教学会极大地提高教学质量。不但如此,每节课结束前,教师应该至少留出两分钟的时间去带领学生们总结本节课的知识重点,给学生们一个整体的知识回顾,加强对本节课知识的消化吸收。
七年级是学生学习的奠基阶段,也是可塑性最强的一个阶段,必须重视此阶段的教育,以听说训练为基础,引导读写能力培养的英语教学方法适合初中阶段的学生,如果学生的听说能力得到了稳步提高,那么读写能力相应就有了一定的基础,这样就给今后的英语学习奠定了一个良好的基础,英语教师一定要把握好这一阶段,正确引导和发挥学生的积极性和主动性以及课堂教学的参与意识,为学生今后的学习铺平道路。

Our trip to Chiang Rai was long and boring. We visited a small village in the mountains. The village people here love the quiet life -- no computers or phones. They are the kindest people I have ever met. They always smile and say “hello”. Kathy and I can only speak a few words of Thai, so smiling is the best way to show our kindness. I feel good here and hope to be able to come back next year.

James Michener, a famous American writer donated at least 90 per cent of what he made from his 43 novels. He seemed to donate more than this. At his death, in October 1997, he had gave away US$ 117 million.
Michener made a good example, not just in how much he gave, but in his style of giving. The writer worked hard at doing good (行善). He usually follows up his donations to see how the money was used and he had a lot of fun in doing so.
